Terms & Conditions of Booking
All prices stated are per person in New Zealand dollars and include 15% Goods & Services Tax (GST). Prices are correct at the date of publication but are subject to change.
Provisional Bookings, Payment and Cancellation
Provisional reservations may be held for 7 days if the scheduled date of tour departure is more than 28 day away. Full payment is required at the time of confirmation. Payment may be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), cheque (NZ only) or by telegraphic transfer to Westpac New Zealand (please contact us for account details). Bookings cancelled more than 21 days in advance of scheduled departure incur no cancellation charges. Cancellations between 21 and 2 days of scheduled departure incur a fee of 10% of the total booking cost. Bookings cancelled within 48-hours of scheduled tour departure are non-refundable. No refund is available for cancelled or unused tour portions after the tour has commenced.
New Zealand law stipulates that children must be appropriately carried and secured in all road vehicles. Thus children may not be carried in our vehicles as ‘lap passengers’ and must be carried in appropriate child-designated seating (e.g. baby or child/booster-seats), which we will be pleased to supply on demand. Children under 12-years of age thus occupying a seat on one-day tours pay 80% of the appropriate adult rate. On overnight tours children under 12-years of age who share a room with two adults pay 50% of the published tour price. For overnight tours family room rates are frequently available, please discuss this with us at the time of booking.
A continental breakfast is included in the cost of all overnight tours. Unless expressly stated no food or refreshments are otherwise included in any tour.
Milestone Tours Limited will supply accommodation in superior motel type accommodation. Only accommodation rated by Qualmark as 3-star or above will be utilised except where peak seasonal availability makes this impossible. Accommodation is based on twin or doubled bedded rooms with private en-suite facilities. Single rooms will incur occupancy supplements of $80. In some circumstances family rooms may be available and can be quoted for on an ad hoc basis by Milestone Tours Limited.
Accommodation is offered subject to the terms and conditions of the accommodation provider. Accommodation images used throughout this website are provided for illustrative purposes only and may not represent the actual accommodation supplied.
Routes, Itineraries & Services
The itineraries described in this website and in any printed material provided by Milestone Tours Limited are for specimen purposes only. We reserve the right to alter tour routes, itineraries, visited attractions and other services as dictated by operational demands (e.g. road works, seasonal attraction closures etc) or any other factor outside of our direct control (e.g. weather, act of God, etc.). Milestone Tours Limited reserves the right to substitute any published activity or visitor attraction with another of similar quality at the sole discretion of the tour manager or guide.
Limit of Liability
Milestone Tours Limited will not be liable for any property loss or damage, and/or any damages resulting in death or personal injury that may arise out of these tours or activities.
Milestone Tours Limited and their agents and representatives are not responsible and expressly disclaim any liability for any injury, damage, loss, delay, change in itinerary or schedules, shortened tour time, additional expense, inconvenience or irregularity, whether to person or property, incurred during the tour in connection with or relating to any act by the client or member of the client’s party.
Travel insurance is not included in these prices and guests are recommended to obtain suitable cover, including medical (accident and/or sickness) and baggage, before arrival in New Zealand.
Under the provisions of the Smoke-free Environments Act 1990 (and the Smoke-free Environments Amendment Act 2003), smoking is not permitted at any time in any of our vehicles.
Any information supplied to us will be used solely for the purpose of providing our products or services. We will not sell, rent or otherwise make available to any third-party any of your personal information save as required to do so by New Zealand law or by the order any other regulatory body.
